Congratulations to James on being part of the Men's Compound Team who won the gold medal at the European Archery Championships in Legnica in Poland.

You can watch James's rock solid performance in the finals on Youtube. The Gents Compound Team final starts at about 27 minutes into the video.

Well done James!

After weeks of hot dry sunny weather, the Bunbury was shot in much cooler weather with strong winds and thunder showers in the afternoon. Despite this, we won the match against Fosse Company of Archers in the morning and a number of hardy souls stayed on to complete the Bunbury in the afternoon.

Thanks to Chrissie for organising the shoot and to Kate, Kathryn and Zaskia for keeping us all fed and supplied with drinks.

The results can be found here.

The Chairman (Carl Harding) collected a cheque for £160 from Waitrose in Stamford as one of their Community Matters good causes in May. Thanks to everyone who put their green tokens in our part of the collecting box and to Marie Pears for arranging for us to be one of their good causes.

In the words of another well-known supermarket "Every little helps!"

Congratulations to James Mason, Neil Laszkowicz and Peter Fox who were shooting at the UK Masters at Lilleshall last weekend.

Not only did James win the men's compound event but he is currently leading the National Rankings. At the moment, together with Carl Harding, the Bowmen of Rutland have 4 archers in the top 100 men's compound. We also have Oliver Stephenson in 36th place in the men's recurve rankings.

A great result for the club!
